On Friday 22nd of April, two groups of our first year students presented their long awaited Geography projects to their peers and the staff of the Geography department. The projects were created by the students as a way to creatively engage with their learning of the past year. It was a very enriching experience for all of the visitors who had the opportunity to explore the projects created by the students of Room 1 and 2. The morning itself was filled with excitement and thoroughly enjoyed by our first year student body. The level of the students’ hard work, dedication and imagination were all evident on the morning. We have uploaded a series of photographs taken on the day to our current Gallery for further viewing.
The winning teams were presented with prizes and Certificates of Recognition from Mount Mercy’s Deputy Principal Ms. Van Wallegham. Well done to all of the students who partook in this great ‘day in’. It is true to say our school’s love for Geography shone through on the morning. Congratulations to the girls and their Geography teachers Ms. O’ Mahony and Ms. A Cotter.
